Jewelry Selling Tips

Some people are scared of selling but here's some simple jewelry selling tips you can share with your staff...
  • Greet customers as they walk into your store! A simple "hello" or "hi" will do, this makes your store feel welcoming and inviting. It also makes your staff aware of whose coming and going to your shop. 
  • Know what you sell! When a new shipment of jewelry comes in make sure that your staff is aware of what type of material they use: Is it sterling silver, plated, silver-filled? What type of beads? Natural stones or lab-created? Is it Swarovski Crystals or cubic zirconian? Where is it made? Also look for manufacturers that label their products. By knowing what you sell in your store...your customers will feel more confident buying from you.
  • Let them touch it! Encourage your customers to try on that necklace or bracelet and offer them a mirror. This will help your customers visualize themselves wearing the jewelry pieces.
  • Offer advise! Make suggestions regarding the jewelry piece they seems to be interested in. For example: "This necklace can be layered with other jewelry pieces" or " This necklace will go with blue jeans or a night in the town".
